// Branston will report directly to CEO Barrie Seidenberg

Notonthehighstreet has hired former Just Eat commercial finance director Phil Branston to take on the role of chief financial officer.

Branston will report directly to the online retailer’s chief executive Barrie Seidenberg, as well as the board of investors.

He will be tasked with developing further plans for the business and provide support to the 5000 small businesses that sell via the platform.

He is also expected to lead and develop the finance team, focusing on scaling operations.

“Phil combines deep financial and operating expertise with a track record of developing technology and ecommerce businesses, most recently in a marketplace environment,” Seidenberg said.

Branston has accumulated over 20 years of financial and operational leadership experience.

He has held senior management roles at technology firms Sage, Misys and Wandisco before Just Eat.

The appointment is Notonthehighstreet’s second senior executive hire this year following Richard Zubrik’s post to chief technology officer.
