Matalan has unveiled plans to introduce 200 new jobs at its Knowsley warehouse to meet the demand for online sales.
The fashion value retailer said it saw a 30 per cent increase in online sales in its latest financial year, while sales reached £1.1 billion, with pre-tax profits of £30.1 million.
Matalan said the job hunt for its warehouse in Knowsley, near Liverpool, will be enable them to operate on a new shift pattern of four days on and four days off.
“This new shift pattern reflects the positive momentum being achieved across the business and will enable our continued modernisation as we seek to offer convenience and choice through a seamless omnichannel service,” a Matalan spokesperson said.
Matalan currently has over 200 stores across the UK.
