Ralph Lauren has raised its full-year outlook after posting better-than-expected first-quarter results, driven by strong trading across its retail and wholesale channels.

Operating profit rose 23 per cent year-on-year to $342m (£254.2m) in the quarter to 27 June 2026, while net revenue climbed 14 per cent to $1.96bn (£1.45bn).

The US fashion giant said the performance was ahead of expectations, with growth recorded across all major regions.

North America revenue increased 13 per cent to $740.3m, while Europe rose 7 per cent to $594.4m (£441.8m). Asia delivered the strongest regional performance, with revenue up 24 per cent to $589.3m (£438m), while licensing and other non-reportable segments grew 4 per cent to $35.8m (£26.2m).

Ralph Lauren, executive chairman and chief creative officer, said: “As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and look ahead to important milestones for our company over the coming year, I’m reminded of what has inspired us for nearly 60 years – optimism and aspiration, authenticity and the belief that we all can step into our dreams.

“These are the values that our teams around the world embrace every day, that will endure as we continue to grow and evolve.”

By channel, retail revenue climbed 13 per cent to $1.37bn, while wholesale revenue was up 15 per cent to $554.7m (£412.3m), reflecting continued demand for the brand across stores, digital and partner channels.

The company now expects constant-currency revenue to increase between 5 per cent and 6 per cent for the 2026/27 financial year, citing its stronger-than-anticipated start to the year.

Patrice Louvet, Ralph Lauren president and CEO, added: “We are off to a strong start in the second year of our ‘Next Great Chapter: Drive’ plan, with broad-based performance across geographies, channels and consumer segments in the first quarter – exceeding our expectations and driving an increase in our full-year 2026/27 outlook.

“Our iconic brand is resonating around the world, and we continue to invest behind the long-term strategic priorities that will drive further sustainable growth and value creation into the future – from recruiting new and younger consumers to strengthening our core and high-potential categories, and developing our key city ecosystems in every region.”
