Kipling names Markus Hamm as new Europe boss

// VF Corp names Markus Hamm as the new VP and GM for Kipling EMEA

VF Corp has named Markus Hamm as the new vice president and general manager for its Kipling fascia in the EMEA region.

Hamm first joined VF Corp in 2004 and has held various positions for the company’s Jansport and Eastpack brands, such as sales director, direct to consumer and strategic accounts director.

Since January last year, he has been heading up wholesale, strategic accounts, sales operations and digital for the Eastpak.

At Kipling, Hamm will be responsible for leading the Belgian retailer and brand’s EMEA operations, maximising business and financial objectives and overseeing the general execution for all functions.

He will be based in Antwerp and will report to Kipling global president Vera Breuer from April 1.

“The Kipling team is excited to welcome Markus onboard,” Breuer said.

“With many years of market experience and a successful track record across sales, marketing and digital, combined with excellent leadership skills, he is the perfect fit to lead our brand growth in the region.”

Kipling trades from 436 stores in 80 countries.

VF Corp is also the parent company of Vans, The North Face and Timberland.
