The Cambridge Satchel Company has officially announced the launch of its first standalone men‘s store at 15 Shorts Gardens, Seven Dials.  The retailer, founded by Julie Deane OBE in 2008 with just £600, is to open the 1,000 sq ft store on June 8.

The British label‘s first UK men‘s store will focus on the brand‘s classic satchels, backpacks, and trunks for the male consumer, including the new Autumn Winter 2015 men‘s collection which launches on the same day.  The store will feature a unique oak and leather interior and personalised embossing services will be available.

The new store will also join fellow British brand, Christys‘ Hats, which recently opened at 9 Shorts Gardens.

Commenting on the new openings at Seven Dials, Sam Bain-Mollison, Head of Group Retail Strategy and Letting at Shaftesbury PLC, said: “The Cambridge Satchel Company‘s concept joins the existing mix of high quality menswear brands in Seven Dials, such as Farah, Fred Perry and Carhartt, with Shorts Gardens featuring the UK‘s only standalone Element store.  Along with Christys‘ Hats, both will add to a selection of brands offering authentic, trend-led fashion and unique lifestyle products.”

Commenting on the debut opening of men‘s stand alone store, Julie Deane OBE, Founder and CEO of The Cambridge Satchel Company, added: “London is our second home and Seven Dials was the location of our first ever store so it is special for us.  It is the perfect location for our men‘s store, which is the result of a growing male customer base and need to create a bespoke space just for them.”
