London‘s distinguished Dover Street is to welcome a new flagship store from brand new company Varana.

The soon-to-be-launched brand is a womenswear retailer, with product ranges inspired by Asian designs.

Former Joseph boss Marc Forestier has teamed up with graphic designer Sujata Keshavan to bring the new brand to the iconic shopping destination, sharing a postcode with top retailers Jimmy Choo and Victoria Beckham.

The Dover Street address will open its doors on an undisclosed date in 2017, after signing a 10 year lease on the 4335sq ft property at a reported rate of £350,000 a year.

“While we believe rents need to settle to a level that will support growth again after rising dramatically over the last few years, the location continues to attract brands searching for an alternative to Bond Street,” said Anthony Selwyn, the head of central London retail at real estate firm Savills.
