Salvatore Ferragamo has appointed British designer Paul Andrew to the position of creative director.

The luxury fashion retailer made the announcement two days ahead of its Women’s Fall 2019 runway show at Milan Fashion Week.

Andrew first joined the company back in September 2016 as women’s footwear director and was hired as women’s creative director a year later.

He will be responsible for all of the label’s design functions.

Meanwhile, Guillaume Meilland will remain at his role as men’s ready-to-wear design director, and has been given the added responsibility of studio director, co-ordinating the development of all product categories under the leadership of the creative director.
