Friday Fun One: Argos & Lego’s in-store “Arghost” hunt

Argos has partnered with Lego to undergo a spooky re-vamp where it will host an after-dark in-store ghost hunt this Halloween.

On Halloween weekend, the Tottenham Court Road Argos store in central London will house an immersive ghost hunt led by professional ghost hunter Yvette Fielding.

Yvette will be sharing wicked ghost stories from the surrounding streets of London and take children from the age of five on a ghost hunt to uncover Lego’s new Hidden Side toy range.

The after-hours experience will bring the eight Lego Hidden Side sets to life, including the Graveyard Mystery, Newbury Haunted High School and Paranormal Intercept Bus.

Each attendee will also take home a free Lego Hidden Side toy.

Lego Hidden Side marks the first time the company has combined physical and digital play, using an AR enabled smartphone app alongside Lego bricks.

The app experience will continue to expand with new ghosts, game challenges, and game play.

“We’re thrilled to be recreating the world of Lego Hidden Side in our store this Halloween through the unique ‘Arghost’ experience,” Argos head of toy Juliet Ward said.

“This immersive event is a fantastic opportunity for children to discover the new toy range, at the same time offering parents a fun activity for the kids this half term.

“We can’t wait to see our customers’ reactions to our spooky new store and get their feedback on this exciting new range from Lego.”
