N Brown Group names Rachel Izzard as new CFO

N Brown Group has announced the appointment of Rachel Izzard as its new group chief financial officer, replacing Craig Lovelace to is leaving to take up a new position.

A start date for Izzard and departure date for Lovelace have not been confirmed yet, but the parent company of fashion retailers Simbly Be, Jacamo and JD Williams said this will be revealed in due course.

N Brown added that Lovelace will work with group chief executive Steve Johnson to ensure an orderly handover to Izzard, but until his departure his will continue with his responsibilities as finance chief.

Izzard will make the move to N Brown from Irish airline Aer Lingus, where she has been chief financial officer since 2015.

She started her career at Mobil Oil and British Airways, moving on to a range of senior financial roles.

With the forming of International Airlines Group, she became CFO of IAG Cargo, a role she held until her move to Aer Lingus.

“On behalf of the board and everyone at N Brown, I would like to thank Craig for his contribution over the last five years. We wish him every success for the future,” N Brown chairman Matt Davies said.

Johnson said: “We are delighted to welcome Rachel to N Brown. She brings considerable financial expertise and experience and will be a key addition to the executive management team.”

Izzard’s appointment comes on the same day N Brown group hired Sarah Welsh to take on the newly-created role of retail chief executive.

Welsh will join office on March 30 and will be responsible for all aspects of product including buying, merchandising, design, fit, trading, sourcing and partnerships.
