This change applies across the whole of the UK.
M&S said it continues to offer one of the longest returns periods on the high street at 35 days.
Separately, the retailer recently launched an on-the-spot digital payment solution – Pay With Me – to speed up the shopping process for customers in the run up to Christmas.
Pay With Me is now available at M&S 200 stores, while an additional 1000 additional self-service tills have also been installed.
The solution allows an M&S colleague to pick out customers waiting in line to pay for just a few items, and quickly process their transaction via a handheld device.
The rollout follows a successful trial at seven stores.
