Levi’s to grow store presence by 20%

Levi’s has revealed a commitment to grow its physical store presence in the UK by 20% as part of its expansion plans.

The denim retailer currently has 65 stores in the UK, with 13 more stores set to open “in the near future”.

Further details, such as locations and opening dates, are yet to be disclosed.

Levi Strauss & Co senior vice president of North America, Lucia Marcuzzo, said the company “definitely believes in brick-and-mortar retail”.

“In the UK particularly we have 65 stores now and we are planning to grow by another 20%,” she said.

Levi’s also plans to open 400 new stores globally by 2027.

Levi Strauss & Co global head of direct-to-consumer Richard Hurren said: “We confirmed to the investors that we’re looking at 400 stores in the next five years.”

A total 300 of the 400 planned stores will be new Levi’s concept stores that focus on creativity and circular fashion.
