// New Look confirms plans to close 6 UK stores saying it’s a ‘normal course of business’
// The stores set to close are in Birmingham, Coventry, Trowbridge, Kirkcaldy, Walthamstow, and Northampton
New Look has confirmed that it is shutting six stores across the UK.
The stores the high-street fashion retailer is axing are in Birmingham, Coventry, Trowbridge, Kirkcaldy, Walthamstow, and Northampton.
A company spokesperson said: “As part of the normal course of business, New Look occasionally closes sites, but also opens new stores when the right opportunities arise.
“While a small number of stores have closed in recent months, our most recent new openings were in November 2022 and we have plans for further openings in the first half of this year.”

The news comes just weeks after H&M also confirmed it would be closing four of its UK stores citing a “rapid change in customer behaviour”.
The fashion retailer said it has been forced to shut a number of its branches around the world to meet its customers’ needs.
The affected shops include its Burton branch, which closed earlier this month, Hartlepool, Maidenhead and Newport in Isle of Wight.
