Asos has launched a pop-up sample sale website where it is selling old own brand stock at a heavily discounted price of just £5.
The new site is offering shoppers up to 90% off and forms part of the fashion retailer’s strategy to right-size its stock portfolio as it looks to cut costs.
Visitors can shop from a selection of over 2,000 womenswear and menswear products from Asos-owned brands, including the Design and Edition lines, which are no longer available on the retailer’s main site.
The platform is only available for UK customers, and shoppers will be required to register with a new account.

All orders will be fulfilled and delivered using Asos’ existing infrastructure and capability.
“ASOS Sample Sale is a dedicated pop-up website for our UK customers to buy a selection of recent ASOS fashion at sample sale prices for a limited time only, with everything available for just £5,” an Asos spokesperson said.
“This is part of our plan to right-size our stock portfolio, as announced in our full-year results last year and gives us another route to clear stock in an effective and efficient way.”
Last month, the retailer said that it was on track to deliver a 20% year-on-year reduction in stockholding by the end of the current financial year.
The announcement came as it revealed it had returned to profitability, with adjusted earnings before interest and tax up by more than £20m in the three months to 31 May, thanks to its turnaround plan.
