Simply Be hires iProspect exec as general manager

N Brown Group has announced the appointment of Heidi Kenyon-Smith as the new general manager of its womenswear brand Simply Be.

Kenyon-Smith joins the company with 20 years of industry experience, most recently serving as managing director of digital marketing media agency iProspect.

The new manager is tasked with leading Simply Be to deliver its end-to-end customer experience and accelerate growth.

Kenyon-Smith is due to start her role on 2 January 2024 and will report directly to N Brown CEO of retail Sarah Welsh.

The chief executive said: “Heidi joins with a great deal of passion to deliver the evolution of Simply Be across all digital, brand and product touchpoints as we execute our ambition to become the UK’s most inclusive fashion brand for young women”.

The move comes as the business seeks to strengthen its team and continue its group-wide transformation.

N Brown sunk into the red in its half year results earlier this month, blaming challenging market conditions and unseasonable weather for the loss.

The business reported a loss before tax of £4.1m for the 26 weeks to 2 September 2023, compared to a profit of £7.2m in the previous half year.
