M&S extends Christmas opening hours and food to order window

M&S has extended its opening hours over the festive period to help shoppers get ready for the big day.

From 18 to 22 December, more than 400 of the retailer’s stores will be open from 6am until 10pm.

A number of stores will also be open until 10pm on Saturday 23 December and 4pm on Christmas Eve.

The retailer has also revealed it will close its stores, support centres and distribution centres on Boxing Day.

M&S has also extended its Christmas food to order window until 13 December.

After pre-ordering their food online, shoppers can collect it from stores from 22 to 24 December across England, Wales and Scotland, or on 23 to 24 December in Northern Ireland.

According to M&S, the business is also offering its fastest ever click-and-collect service this year, available in more than 700 stores.

This comes as M&S prepares for a “successful and strong Christmas”, according to CEO Stuart Machin.

The M&S boss said last month that he was feeling “quietly confident” this year as customers are gearing up for a bigger family celebration this year.

Meanwhile, M&S’ Romford team are vying to be Christmas number one this year with the release of their fesive single for 2023.

Staff from nine of the retail giant’s stores partnered with its Romford team to create the song “Maybe This Christmas Time”, which hit number one on the iTunes charts when it was released last week.
