Footasylum has revealed the opening date of its new store in Trinity Leeds shopping centre.
The site will launch on 20 June, complete with competitions, goody bags, giveaways from cake shop The Savvy Baker, and a guest appearance from YouTuber Danny Aarons.
The Savvy Baker will hand out free coffee, matcha, brownies and blondies for the first 100 people in the store’s queue when it opens at 9am.
Additionally, goody bags will be available for its first 200 attendees, with random golden ticket prizes included in selected bags for the chance to win special prizes.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy live music from a local DJ, and gaming experiences with Danny Aarons.
Located next to Schuh on the lower ground floor, the new 12,000sq ft flagship store will house a variety of menswear, womenswear and junior apparel, as well as footwear and accessories from brands including Asics, Converse, Nike, adidas, and Footasylum’s exclusive labels such as Celebre and Alpyrex.
The footwear specialist’s store offers shoppers an “improved digital retail experience” with multiple mobile payment points available “for a quicker and seamless checkout experience”.
Footasylum retail director Shannon Osman said: “We’re so excited to celebrate the launch of our flagship store in the vibrant city of Leeds this weekend, with plenty of in-store activations and entertainment for guests.
“The impressive new store will showcase all our latest products and exclusive drops, set within an immersive and modern retail experience.”
Trinity Leeds centre director Steven Foster added: “Our goal is to offer variety for our guests, and we’re so pleased to welcome Footasylum to the line-up.
“Their arrival further enhances our offering and is another movement on our part to being one of the leading shopping centres in the country.
