Online Home Shop opens huge Manchester fulfilment centre to support growth

Online Home Shop has opened a 327,000 sq ft fulfilment centre in Trafford Park, Manchester, as the homewares retailer looks to increase capacity and support its rapid growth.

The new site provides around 45,000 pallet spaces and will help the retailer improve stock management, distribution efficiency and customer service as demand continues to rise.

OHS said the move would remove historic capacity constraints caused by operating across multiple sites, allowing the business to ship six million orders this year.

The retailer also expects the new fulfilment centre to create more than 100 jobs, taking its workforce from around 200 people to more than 300.

OHS reported record gross sales of £61m for the year to 31 January 2025, up 28 per cent year on year.

The Greater Manchester-based retailer, which sells affordable bedding, curtains, towels, throws, rugs and other homeware products online, has become one of the UK’s faster-growing homewares players in recent years.

OHS chief executive Moshe Cohen said: “Opening this new site is a significant milestone for OHS and reflects our commitment to investing in the infrastructure needed to support our incredible growth journey.

“This additional capacity will help us operate more efficiently and continue delivering the high level of service our customers expect. I would like to thank everybody involved in making this happen.”

The Trafford Park site marks another major investment in OHS’s logistics operation, as online homewares demand continues to reshape the category.

Rafi Margulies of Capre advised OHS in securing the lease, while B8RE, DTRE and JLL represented landlord Oxenwood.
