Foot Locker walks into Liverpool One for largest store in Europe

Foot Locker has opened its largest store in Europe with new a flagship store in the Liverpool One shopping centre.

The footwear retailer launched its new 21,000sq ft, two-storey store amid a flurry of events designed to create a “platform for the city’s many creative talents”.

It partnered with local artist Stephen Chan, created a bespoke piece of artwork for the store which is installed at the front of the store.

To celebrate its opening, Kaine Ofoeme of Mic Lowry, Taya and DJ Coco gave a live performance, while Luke’s Barbers offered fresh hair cuts for shoppers.

“The new store is the ultimate destination for sneaker fans in Liverpool and a great platform for the city’s many creative talents,” Foot Locker vice president Nick Jones said.

“Liverpool has such an incredible cultural history and scene that it’s the perfect destination to lead the way for the future of Foot Locker stores.

“We look forward to continuing to collaborate locally and support the local scene and community.”

Grosvenor Europe’s asset management director Alison Clegg added: “The experience-led focus of the store is another great example of how Liverpool One is enriching the experience for visitors, providing them with an offer unavailable anywhere else.

“The flagship opening strengthens our diverse mix of international brands, and cements our position as the strongest performing destinations in the UK.”
