Poundland to complete “supercar-like” roll out of Pep&Co this month

Poundland is due to complete its “supercar-like” roll out of its fashion brand Pep&Co across 300 locations by the end of the month.

Just over a year after begining the shop-in-shop roll out, the discount retailer is due to hit its target in mid-June.

It will celebrate the milestone with a range of activities including giving away 300 pairs of flip flops on June 15 to mark National Flip Flop day.

The retailer has high expectations for the budget fashion line, expecting it to make an annual turnover of £100 million within three years, and employ 2000 people.

Poundland also expects Pep&Co to raise its fashion profile, launching it into the top 15 fashion retailers in the UK.

“Supercar-like acceleration, from nought to 300 in what seems like three seconds, not three years, is an amazing achievement,” Pep&Co’s incoming merchandising director Sarah Morgan said.

“The team is rightly proud of what they’ve achieved in such a short space of time, but beyond the business story, there’s clearly a fashion brand customers love.”
