Moonpig has appointed Kristof Fahy to the role of chief marketing officer.

Fahy joins the online cards and gifts retailer after Moonpig doubled its growth rate in the past 12 months.

The appointment follows Moonpig’s reshuffle of its boardroom.

In late August, former WHSmith chief executive joined as chairman, while Nickyl Raithatha was promoted to chief executive in June.

Fayh has held several high-profile roles, most recently he served as interim chief marketing officer at Checkatrade.com, chief customer officer at Hostelworld and chief customer officer for Ladbrokes/Coral.

He was also chief marketing officer for William Hill for over five years and was part of the team that led William Hill into becoming one of the biggest gambling businesses.

“Kristof brings over 25 years of experience creating and implementing successful commercial, digital, marketing and brand strategies and he will be a huge asset for our new leadership team,” Moonpig chief executive Nickyl Raithatha said.

“He is also a great cultural fit for the brand and I am very much looking forward to working with him.”

Fahy said: “Moonpig is a truly iconic British brand and I look forward to building on its unique proposition and proven market success in order to drive the business through its next stage of ambitious growth.”
