She has spent the last five years serving at online fashion retailer Asos, where she was responsible for driving the development and execution of its commercial strategy across the business globally.
“Nicola’s wealth of experience and insight in leading business development across global markets will be instrumental in helping us to continue to expand our footprint in new and existing markets,” Made.com chief executive Philippe Chainieux said.
“We have some exciting developments coming across the business which she will be at the forefront of.”
Thompson said: “At a time when global retail trends are changing so rapidly, I believe Made is leading from the front with its uncompromising design-led model, delivering fresh and interesting furniture to consumers at an affordable price.”
On Monday, Made.com has said it was considering experimenting with a furniture rental service.
The initiative illustrates the rising number of people in the UK who cannot afford to buy a home, The Times reported.
Made.com currently has a presence in 11 markets across the UK and Europe.
