Crew Clothing CEO departs amid leadership reshuffle

// Crew Clothing boss David Butler has left the business after six years
// He has been followed out by the retailer’s heads of trade and technical operations

Crew Clothing has cut ties with its chief executive and several senior executives as part of a leadership reshuffle.

The retailer confirmed David Butler stepped down from his role after six years “by mutual agreement” this month, This is Money reported.

It did not say whether Butler’s replacement was being sought or had been appointed.

“The directors of Crew Clothing Co Limited announce that David Butler has resigned as chief executive of the business by mutual agreement,” a spokeswoman said.

His departure is joined by head of trade Cathy Carrington Birch and head of technical Kerry Beckwith, who both stepped down this week.

Crew Clothing is owned by private equity firm Brigadier Acquisition Company which snapped up the retailer in December 2017 for an undisclosed sum.
