Footasylum unveils new flagships under store expansion push

Footasylum has unveiled two new store openings, with a third on the way in November.

The streetwear retailer opened doors to a store in the Birmingham Bullring and another in the Atria shopping centre in Watford.

The Birmingham store is located in the site previously occupied by New Look, spread across more than 11,000 sq ft.

The store replaces Footasylum’s previous 2,500 sq ft site in the same shopping centre, employing an additional 40 staff members.

It is also the latest store to use the company’s new design concept, incorporating advanced digital capabilities to create a mobile-first customer journey “that seamlessly connects Footasylum’s online and in-store offerings”.

The Watford store measures over 6,000 sq ft with 35 staff members, and also follows the new store design concept.

Meanwhile, Footasylum’s next store opening will arrive in Leicester’s Fosse Park next month.

The store will spread across 6,400 sq ft and replace the business’s former 4,000 sq ft store at the shopping centre.

The shop launches are the latest in a line of Footasylum site openings, as the business continues its expansion programme.

Other recent shop openings for the retailer include its Westfield Stratford City site and Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, which were both completed earlier this year.

The company also opened its flagship 20,000 sq ft Oxford Street store in September.
