In pictures: M&S opens new Birmingham Bullring store

M&S has opened its latest store in the Bullring & Grand Central shopping centres in Birmingham city centre.

The 65,000 sq ft store offers customers a fresh market-style Foodhall, as well as new clothing, home and beauty departments.

The launch comes under the retailer’s plans to invest around £480m in its store rotation programme, following investment in the city’s local economy.

The store is also the first of nine new shops set to open in November – the biggest ever month for new M&S store openings.

Along with the existing M&S Birmingham team of 145 staff members who have transferred across, the business is welcoming over 100 new recruits to the new store.

Its clothing department showcases the latest collections across womenswear, kidswear and menswear, with dedicated, neon-lit areas to spotlight its customer favourites.

New features like the option to skip queues and pay straight away in store fitting rooms are also available in store.

The retailer’s biggest ever footwear offer and try-on area in also housed within the Birmingham store, as well as a transformed beauty department.

Inside the Foodhall, shoppers will find displays holding produce from M&S Select Farms, as well as a bakery and dedicated wine shop.
