Abercrombie & Fitch to open Oxford Street store next year

Abercrombie & Fitch is launching a new two-floor store on 325 Oxford Street which is expected to open in 2025.

The shop will trade from the ground and first floor of the building which is owned by real estate company Hines, and includes both office and retail space.

Abercrombie & Fitch managing director of EMEA Scott Clarke-Bryan said: “We see tremendous opportunities for Abercrombie & Fitch here in London and this prime location at the crossroads of Oxford and Bond Street will add to our growing presence in the UK market.

“We look forward to welcoming our customers into a new and elevated experience early next year in this iconic shopping destination.”

The news comes after the fashion retailer opened a new store on London’s Carnaby Street in December after shuttering its Regent Street flagship.

At the start of the year, plans for a £90m renovation of Oxford Street were given the green light by two thirds of respondents to a consultation of local people, businesses, and visitors.

Westminster City council is set to move the programme forward with construction starting this autumn following feedback from over 1,600 people and support for all proposals included in the public consultation.

The Oxford Street overhaul is forecast to generate up to £2.8bn extra sales during the first five years after its completion, according to the New West End Company.
