Pandora has named its current general manager of Northern Europe Sonia Lopez Delgado as its new general manager of the British Isles (BRIS).

Delgado joined the jewellery retailer in 2018 as its country manager in Spain, and has previously held senior positions across The Body Shop, LVMH Fragrances Brands and El Corte Inglés.

Pandora CEO Alexander Lacik said: “Having built a very strong team in our Northern Europe cluster and driving impressive brand momentum in Germany, I’m certain that with Sonia to spearhead our efforts in BRIS, we’ll continue to drive strong brand momentum, give many more customers a world-class experience, and build our reputation as a full jewellery brand.”

Delgado is set to replace Rasmus Brix, who has been promoted to senior vice president of global commercial operations at the company’s headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Brix will report into Massimo Basei, who takes the role of chief commercial officer.

Delgado and Brix are due to start their new positions on 1 July.

In January, Pandora reported a “strong end to 2023” as trading during the key golden quarter period beat expectations.

The jewellery giant’s revenue hit £1.2bn, up from £1.1bn the prior year, as like-for-like sales grew 9%.
