Reports have emerged that 20 BHS stores will close down this week, leaving 580 employees out of work.

According to The Guardian, BHS stores in Slough, Stirling, Truro, Preston, Stratford-upon-Avon, Yeovil and several others will shut down on July 23.

While most of the staff are likely to be made redundant, but administrators could redeploy some employees.

The news comes as MPs prepare to publish the findings of their investigation into the collapse of the high street icon.

Last month, it was initially announced that all BHS stores would remain open throughout the summer.
