Italian sportswear brand Ellesse has opened the doors to its first standalone UK store in London’s Seven Dials.
The 1000sq ft store launched on December 2 on 39 Neal Street and will stock the latest men’s and women’s clothing ranges.
It comes as Seven Dials’ property owner Shaftesbury seeks to reinvigorate the area, redeveloping the Thomas Neal warehouse into a “blank canvas” for a willing retailer to transform the vacant space into a “unique world-class flagship”.
“Ellesse, along with a select group of other designer sports apparel brands, is seeing a real resurgence at the moment and the brand’s heritage is the perfect match for the area,” Shaftesbury head of retail Sam Bain Mollison said.
“They are a great addition to an urban fashion lineup that includes Carharrt, Nixon and Vans.”
Ellesse brand director Marc Greene added: “2017 has been a fantastic year for Ellesse globally, and opening in Seven Dials is a perfect way to bring in 2018.
“This is the first store outside of Asia Pacific and represents a true statement of intent from the brand – we aim to immerse all visitors in the fascinating history of Ellesse whilst also showcasing our exclusive and latest collections.”
