Yoox launches debut own brand range “8 by Yoox”

Yoox has unveiled its debut own-brand range of clothing dubbed “8 by Yoox” which has been developed with the use of artificial intelligence.

The luxury online fashion retailer, which announced it was working on its own-brand last month, has released a range of t-shirts, jackets, coats, dresses, trousers and sweaters ready for autumn/winter 2018/2019, with a spring/summer range to be revealed in January.

8 by Yoox, or “Otto” in Italian, was designed after research carried out with the use of artificial intelligence tools which analysed online magazine and key fashion influencers.

“We are always exploring the frontier between Human and Machine; it’s been part of our DNA since I invented Yoox in 1999,” Yoox Net-A-Porter chief executive Federico Marchetti said.

“Today we are combining the latest artificial intelligence with the human spirit and creative talent of our design team.

“Technology is usually invisible to the customer; 8 by Yoox makes it desirable and tangible.”
