Morrisons customers threaten to shop at Tesco over loyalty card

Morrisons has been criticised for changing the system to its More loyalty card after shoppers could no longer collect points when they shop.

Shoppers have taken to Twitter to express their concerns over the changes, saying that they will “shop at Tesco” now.

Customers were previously able to use their loyalty card to collect ‘More points’ when buying in-store and online.

The collected points would then become vouchers. Customers received five points for every £1 spent, and 5000 points were worth £5 in Morrisons vouchers.

However, the change means customers can no longer collect points when they shop and will receive personalised money-off discounts instead.

Shoppers previously received some personalised offers but could not always use these instantly, which they can do under the new system.

The new scheme’s name has also changed to ‘My Morrisons’.

One Morrisons shopper wrote on Twitter that “Tesco gets my business now”.

Another person said on Twitter: “I’m really upset about the end of the more card, I’ll be doing most of my shopping in Tesco from now on, friends I’ve spoken to will be doing the same.”
