Boohoo loses raft of senior directors

A raft of senior Boohoo directors are understood to have left the online retailer.

The ecommerce giant’s trading director Sam Brocklebank, wholesale and product operations directo Marie Laskowski, and product director Claire Asher, are believed to have left the business, Drapers reported.

MissPap CEO and Boohoo group brand director Samantha Helligso is also understood to be departing from the retailer during the coming months.

The news comes as it was revealed this morning that the retailer’s CFO Shaun McCabe has stepped down “by mutual agreement and with immediate effect”.

McCabe is to be replaced next month by former Zoopla finance boss Stephen Morana, who was a non-executive at the fashion chain from 2014 to 2017.

The group’s executive chairman Mahmud Kamani said: “He supported us through the IPO process and in our early years as a PLC. While the business has grown significantly since then, Stephen has a wealth of experience with global digital businesses and is therefore very well placed to support the strategy in pursuit of our growth ambitions.”

Boohoo revealed today that Christmas trading was in line with market expectations over the key Christmas period.
