Fortnum & Mason has selected 15 emerging food and drink producers as winners of its 2026 Fortnum & Makers Open Call, following a competition that attracted more than 450 submissions from across the UK.
The scheme is designed to find new independent brands for the luxury retailer’s Piccadilly flagship store, with entries assessed on originality, sustainability and alignment with Fortnum & Mason’s values.
It is understood that this year’s brief also included products intended to support a more balanced way of living.
The selected brands include producers categories representing emerging trends in the premium food and drink market, such as sea moss tonics Óir Tonics, functional coffee blends Everystate, Ethiopian teff snacks TEFFIE, Scandinavian-style rye crackers RAG Nordic Bakery and low-alcohol cocktails Soba Circus.

The winning makers will now secure shelf space at the London store from the end of the month. They will also take part in in-store activity including tastings and storytelling events in the Food & Drink Studio, alongside window displays at the Piccadilly site.
“Each year, the Open Call reveals an extraordinary breadth of talent, and this year has been no exception,” said Fortnum & Mason director of buying for food, wine & spirits Liz Morgan.
“The makers we’ve selected bring with them not only remarkable craftsmanship and flavour, but a fresh perspective on how we eat and live today. We’re delighted to welcome them to Fortnum’s and to share their stories with our customers.”
