The Body Shop has launched on Uber Eats in the UK in the latest push from the delivery platform into beauty and wellness.

The partnership will allow customers to order The Body Shop products through the Uber Eats app for delivery in minutes, adding another major high street name to the platform’s growing retail offer.

Uber Grocery and Retail UK general manager Katie Hunter said the launch would bring the beauty retailer’s products “straight to your doorstep in minutes”, as demand grows for faster access to make-up, skincare, fragrance and gifting products.

She said: “After crunching the numbers for our recent Beauty Week promotion, one thing is clear. People really want their make-up, perfume, skincare and more delivered to the doorstep.

“Whether you’re craving a moment of self-care or sourcing a magic, last-minute gift for a loved one, we’ve got you covered. It’s the perfect time to head to the app and shop The Body Shop’s legendary product range, on-demand.”

Uber Technologies recently announced a major US partnership with Ulta Beauty, adding more than 1,500 of the retailer’s stores to the Uber Eats marketplace.

The deal allows customers across the US to shop beauty and wellness products including make-up, skincare, haircare, fragrance, tools and devices for on-demand or scheduled delivery.

Ulta Beauty vice president of ecommerce Jodi Williams said: “We’re focused on creating seamless, flexible ways for our guests to discover and shop the brands they love, whenever and wherever they need them.

“Partnering with Uber Eats allows us to extend our omnichannel experience, bringing our differentiated assortment of beauty and wellness products directly to our guests’ doors with speed and convenience, whether they’re planning ahead or need something in the moment.”

Uber North America head of grocery and retail Hashim Amin said shoppers were increasingly looking for “variety and flexibility” when buying beauty products.

“Our partnership with Ulta Beauty makes it easier for customers to discover and shop a wide range of beauty products, all delivered directly to their door,” he said.
