The sales increase was across all channels over the Christmas trading period, despite a “tough and challenging market”.

Sales in stores saw a 15 per cent increase year-on-year, while online sales increased by 13 per cent, compared to the same period in 2018/19.

Seasalt has also extended its wholesale partnership with New Zealand’s Ballantynes department store to a distribution partnership.

Ballantynes will distribute to other department stores in the country, including H&J Smith for autumn this year.

Seasalt operates 70 stores in the UK and Ireland, 400 stockists across the UK and Europe, and sells internationally to over 150 countries.

The retailer has further plans to to open six to eight stores later this year.
