Puma’s chief commercial officer Matthias Bauemer will step down from the management board effective from the September 30 due to personal reasons.

Bauemer will continue to work for the brand as a consultant and will still be representing the company on the supervisory board of German football club Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co.KGaA.

He joined Puma in 2007 as sales director Puma Germany, Benelux, and took over as general manager DACH a couple years later.

His successor has yet to be announced.

Arthur Hoeld, CEO of Puma, said: “I would like to thank Matthias for his commitment to the brand in his various roles and for his contribution to the measures as part of our three-year transformation journey.

“I am very happy that he agreed to continue to support us as a consultant. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

The management board will be made up of Hoeld, Maria Valdes (chief brand officer) Mark Langer (CFO), and Andreas Hubert (chief operating officer) from October 1.

Héloïse Temple-Boyer, chair of the supervisory board at Puma, added: “On behalf of the supervisory board, I would like to thank Matthias for his dedication, passion and leadership. With his strong commercial experience, he celebrated many successes during his time at Puma. We wish him all the best for his future.”
