Retail Gazette Loves: Heathrow’s fully interactive mirror

Heathrow airport‘s Terminal 5 has introduced a fully interactive mirror to it‘s personal shopping lounge.

Earlier this month the airport unveiled its new personal shopping lounge, following from its free personal shopping service launched in 2014.

Heathrow features 23 fashion and luxury brands, which has led to shoppers voting it the “world‘s best airport for shopping” seven years in a row.

The new mirror, hailed as the world‘s most connected mirror, allows shoppers to connect with their social media and ask friends what they think of purchases. Likes and comments appear on the mirror in real time, getting immediate feedback on items before purchasing.


“Our customers‘ expectations of their shopping experience are continuously evolving. Now, they not only seek the professional support of our Personal Shoppers, but also the support of their social community too,” Heathrow head of personal shopping Sharon Daley said.

“From today, our passengers can enjoy the experience of shopping over 400 brands in the comfort of the private space and share the experience with their friends across the globe, too.”
