She will report to the new chief executive Alex Williamson, expected to take the reins at the department store at the end of July, and will be responsible for overseeing HR functions and internal communications.

Chief operating officer Peter Gross, who has taken on some HR functions on an interim basis, will now pass store and office HR responsibilities along to Maynard.

“I am extremely pleased that someone with Michelle‘s knowledge and experience is part of our executive team as we implement our five-year vision, which will ensure the future success of our business,” executive chairman Frank Slevin said.
