Pro-vitamin B5 miceller cleansing water and collagen anti-ageing day cream aren’t the kind of products customers are used to seeing on the shelves of Poundland, but all that is set to change today with the launch of its new skincare range.
Priced at just £1 per item, the new #6 skincare range aims to deliver healthier looking glowing skin with collagen fillers, sweet almond oil, ceramdide and vitamins A and E.
With packaging that would look at home in luxury department store’s beauty concession, #6 has been created to provide “premium quality products in luxurious packaging that will take pride of place in beauty collections for a fraction of the price”.
“Everyone wants to look good for less, and we spent a long time ironing out the wrinkles to develop a fantastic skincare range to fit all budgets,” said Poundland head of glamour Holly Mobley.
“We set out to challenge expectations, we want customers to feel like they are buying a bit of luxury without breaking the bank and are confident #6 hits the mark for beauty addicts and skincare novices alike,” she added.
With the beauty sector still booming despite uncertain consumer sentiment, Poundland’s #6 range is the latest arrival in affordable luxury skincare for cash-strapped shoppers.
