- Aldi’s David Hills will join Asda as chief customer officer later this year. Oresa CEO Orlando Martins says: “The appointment gives Asda the opportunity to understand and learn from someone intimate knowledge of the ascending discounters and powerful brands”.
- Wilko has shuffled its senior leadership team. Group finance director Dave Murphy has become chief finance officer, retail director Amanda Jones becomes chief operating officer, Anne-Marie Haydock has been promoted to HR director and ex-Tesco category director Deborah Rabey joins as interim chief customer officer
- Asos names ex-Matches Fashion CFO Sean Glithero as interim finance chief
- Sky Deutschland’s Kathryn Imrie has been appointed to the newly created role of chief consumer officer at Pets at Home
- Next appoints Lipsy co-founder Jeremy Stakol as executive director. Martins says: “This suggests a reinforcement of the importance of group investments, acquisitions and third party brands as part of the growth strategy.”
- Marks & Spencer has appointed Amazon executive Nishi Mahajan as director of third-party brands. Martin says this role is becoming a trend and the hire “reinforces the importance of third party brands to the future of M&S.”

- N Brown hires former Very Group finance chief Dominic Appleton as new CFO
